How do I delete or archive a location?

To delete or archive a location

1. 1. Click on the Settings menu in the upper right-hand corner of your account and select Inventory and Locations.
      
   2. On the Inventory and Locations page, click the Edit Locations button in the Manage  Locations section.
      
   3. Click on the location row for the location you wish to delete or archive to open the summary panel.
   4. In the summary panel, click on the Actions menu and select either Archive or Delete.
      

Note the following:

• • Archived locations are those that were once active in your system but have since been closed, removed, or shut down and are no longer needed. While they’re not included in your standard searches in your e-binder, they are kept on file for reporting purposes.
  • Deleting or archiving a location will also delete or archive any sub-locations.
  • Deleting a location will also delete any containers assigned to that location.
  • Locations with full containers cannot be archived.
  • You can delete a location that has a Manager, General User, or First Responder assigned to it; that user will no longer be assigned to that location.

How do I find an archived location?

On the Locations page, below the search bar, select Filters and enable Show archived locations. Archived locations display with an Archived indicator.

What if the Delete or Archive options are grayed out (not available)?

1. • Ensure that you have no documents pending approval in the Queue that were placed there as part of a site-specific approval workflow that includes the location you want to delete or archive.
   • Ensure that if a location is assigned to a site-specific workflow, you have edited or deleted that workflow so that it no longer includes the location you want to delete or archive.
   • Ensure that you do not have any full containers assigned to the location (archiving only). You can delete a location with full containers; this will also delete the containers.
