Exporting Dashboard and Report Data
There are a few different options for exporting advanced dashboard and report data:
- Download directly to a CSV, Excel, JSON, PDF, or PNG (dashboards only) file
- Email on demand
- Schedule for automatic email distribution on a regular basis to support ongoing monitoring and decision making
The following instructions show export options for reports as an example, but the process is the same for both dashboards and reports.
Download a Dashboard or Report
- Hover over the top-right corner of the dashboard/report and select the : menu > Export.
- Select a file format (CSV, Excel, etc.) to begin the download.
- Hover over the top-right corner of the dashboard/report and select the : menu > Export.
Email a Dashboard or Report On Demand
Follow these steps to send a one-time email with a dashboard/report attachment to quickly share data with stakeholders.
- Access the Export options:
- from the : menu, select Export > Export or
- select the folder icon at the bottom left of the page > Export.
- Select Destination > Email.
- Enter the Recipient’s email address, the Subject, and a short Message.
- Under Attachments > Actions, select the item you want to send and the file format.
- Select Export.
- Access the Export options:
Schedule a Dashboard or Report for Automatic Email Distribution
Follow these steps to schedule a dashboard or report for automatic, recurring email delivery.
Note
Only Accelerate Administrators have access to this function.
- Access the scheduling options:
- from the : menu, select Export > Schedule exports or
- select the folder icon at the bottom left of the page > Schedule export > Create new schedule.
- Enter the Recipient’s email address, the Subject, and a short Message.
- Under Attachments > Actions, select the item you want to schedule and the file format.
- Under Frequency, select how often and when the item should be automatically emailed.
- Select Create. You’ll then see a list of scheduled exports including the one you just created. Once a dashboard or report has been scheduled for distribution, you can access this list from the folder icon > Schedule export.
- Access the scheduling options:
Tips
- Exports reflect current filters, sorting, or formatting.
- Exports are limited (and truncated) to 1 million rows; when exporting a pivot table, this limit applies to the flattened table.
- Emails are limited to 30MB for all attachments combined and will generate an error if the limit is exceeded.
