How can I tell if a safety data sheet has been revised?

Safety data sheets (SDS) are essential documents that provide information about the hazards of chemicals and how to handle them safely.

To determine if an SDS has been revised:

• • Check the Revision date on the SDS (also available in the Product Summary and the SDS details in the SDS Search). VelocityEHS enters the revision date as listed on the safety data sheet; this can be compared to the Last Verified date, which is the last time VelocityEHS confirmed the most up-to-date version of the document.
  • Review the SDS for new content/regulatory format designations.
