The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) has nine (9) pictograms.
Canada chose to include an additional biohazard pictogram as part of their GHS adoption.
Additionally, not all GHS Hazard Classifications have a pictogram associated with them.
All of these options are available when indexing the GHS Classifications module in the Chemical Management system.
In the Chemical Management system each pictogram is assigned a number that appears in the GHS Pictogram Numeric Code column of the Product Hazard Details report. These numbers correspond to the following pictograms available to index in the GHS Classifications indexing module in the Chemical Management system:If there is no pictogram associated with an indexed GHS Hazard Classification then the number 12 will show up in the GHS Pictogram Numeric Code column of the Product Hazard Details report.
