Set Up Multi-Company Relationships
Add a User to Multiple Companies
Users with the appropriate System Administrator access can associate an Employee or External Contractor user with multiple companies through User Administration.
Add a New User
- Open User Administration and select the option to add a user.
- Enter the required user information.
- In the Company section, select one or more companies to associate with the user.
- Review the selected companies.
- Select Add User.
The Company section includes:
- Company: Displays the selected company.
- Status: Displays Active when adding a new user.
- Actions: Allows a company selected by mistake to be removed before the user is saved.
Add a Company to an Existing User
- From User Administration, open the user you want to manage.
- Locate the Company section.
- Select the additional company.
- Review the Status and, if applicable, Company Admin setting.
- Select Save.
Note
A newly selected company can be removed before the user record is saved. After the relationship is saved, the company cannot be removed. It can only be deactivated or reactivated.
If the same company is selected again, the system displays: Company already Added
Add a Company Administrator to Another Company
Company Administrators can be associated with additional contracting companies from the Company Users tab.
This supports situations where a General Contractor’s Company Administrator manages compliance requirements on behalf of a subcontractor. This action is available to users with the CP Company Admin or CP System Admin role.
- Open the applicable company.
- Navigate to Company Details > Company Users.
- Add a new Company User.
