The VelocityEHS Approach to Feedback
Here at VelocityEHS, we take product feedback very seriously. We believe that listening to our customers and taking their ideas on board is one of the best ways to build a better, more efficient Chemical Management product.
We use your feedback to identify the most important features, ideas, pain points, and opportunities so that you can get more value from our product as efficiently as possible.
The Benefits of Giving Us Your Product Feedback
If you take the time to submit your product feedback to us, it means that you have a direct say in how our Chemical Management product develops over time.
It means that your ideas are valued and listened to, rather than filed away and ignored.
Ultimately, it allows us to work with you to build the best product we possibly can.
How to Give Us Your Product Feedback
You can access Chemical Management Feedback by clicking on the Resource Center in the lower right-hand corner of the screen after you’ve logged into your VelocityEHS account.
Next, click on Feedback.
Click the Make a Suggestion button to enter a new product suggestion.
You can also see any previous feedback that you submitted under the ‘My Priorities’ header.
Enter a Product Suggestion Title. This should include top-level descriptive terms in regards to your product suggestion.
NOTE: Please make sure to check that a similar or duplicate product suggestion has not already been placed. If you find a similar/duplicate product suggestion, please navigate to it and vote on it (see below for voting & commenting).
Next, provide a detailed description of your product suggestion. Please make sure to include as much detail as possible regarding the functionality you are requesting.
You can also provide detail about use cases as they relate to your product suggestion, as well as any workflow or process detail, i.e. How you would like the process to flow or any workarounds you may currently be using that your suggested functionality could make more efficient.
Finally, enter your company name and location and click Submit request.
Your product suggestion will be sent to the Chemical Management product team directly.
Feedback Portal
To access the full Feedback Portal, click the full-screen icon on the top right corner of the Feedback option in the Resource Center. This opens the full Feedback Portal where you can:
- Submit requests
- View the Feedback Dashboard
- See a list of newly released functionality
- See what’s coming up in terms of new functionality
- Manage your Feedback account

You can also submit product suggestions using the Submit a request form in the Feedback portal.
Feedback Dashboard
The Dashboard provides you with the option to place another suggestion, track and prioritize the suggestions you have placed personally, as well as monitor any feedback placed by other users that you have voted upon as a priority.
The Priority levels are a system of sliders that will automatically adjust across all of the suggestions placed. If you move the slider higher for one suggestion, it will lower your given priority for other suggestions placed, in order to keep a balance of true priority among your product suggestions.
Clicking on the Product Suggestion title of any of the suggestions in your Dashboard will bring you to a detail screen. Here you can see the details of the product suggestion, as well as see the Request Status, any Request Actions, and Request Activity that relates to the product suggestion
Releases
The Releases section will feature products and enhancements released by VelocityEHS in regards to the Chemical Management product. This list will be updated as enhancements and product features are rolled out.
What’s Coming
The What’s Coming section will feature enhancements that are planned for the near future. This will be a great place for you to keep track of coming enhancements that relate to product suggestions you have placed in the past.
Product Suggestion Statuses
Once you have submitted a product suggestion to the Chemical Management Product Team, you will notice that it will move through a series of statuses through its progression.
The statuses are as follows:
New – This is a new suggestion that has been submitted and is awaiting review by the Chemical Management Product team.
Awaiting Feedback – This suggestion has been reviewed by the Chemical Management Product team and is being triaged in this state in order to gain additional feedback and insight from other users in the Feedback platform. The more votes and comments and prioritization by users, the higher the priority that the suggestion becomes in the Chemical Management planning process.
Planned – This means that a suggestion has been triaged and moved onto the Chemical Management Roadmap. This doesn’t insinuate any expedited timeframe for delivery, only that the suggestion matches functionality that is in the long-term plans for the Chemical Management product.
Building – The functionality related to this suggestion is currently being developed by the Chemical Management engineering team. Stay tuned to the Released page to see when product suggestions in this stage are delivered.
Released – The functionality related to this suggestion has been added to the Chemical Management product.
Declined – This feedback falls outside of the scope of functionality within the Chemical Management product, is not part of the long term vision currently planned for the Chemical Management product, or is not considered a suggestion or piece of feedback that relates directly to the product management of the Chemical Management product.
Feedback Account Management
If you click on the Profile icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Feedback Dashboard, you can perform a few actions to tailor your VelocityEHS Chemical Management feedback experience.
Here you can set your language preference (at the current time, only English is supported), under Profile Settings:
Under Email Settings, you can opt into or out of the emails that are generated by the Feedback system.
These include Status Updates, Comment notifications for placed suggestions, Release reports from VelocityEHS Chemical Management, and Product related emails.
Product Feedback Policy
As we plan new Chemical Management product features, we take your product suggestions into consideration.
To give you some insight into our product suggestion process, here’s how we evaluate each suggestion:
- First, we see if the suggestion is currently possible, and fits into the long-term vision of the Chemical Management product.
- If the functionality in your suggestion isn’t currently supported, we estimate the overall value and efficiency it could bring to our product, and to our customer base as a whole.
- If a suggestion adds value, we add it to our product development triage process and determine if, and where it fits on our long-term product roadmap.
- If the suggestion is ultimately approved, we add it to the development pipeline where it gets designed, developed, and tested.
- When the product feature/enhancement is ready, we will release it and announce its arrival via the Feedback Portal.
We can’t promise that a product suggestion requesting a specific product feature will be fulfilled, but we work hard to address the issues that impact our customers the most.
