Q: I noticed the uploads remaining counter went down to zero, but I can still upload; why? Are uploads unlimited once I am on Accelerate?
Uploads are not unlimited in Accelerate. As a VelocityEHS Chemical or SDS Management customer, an Upload allotment (typically 100/year) is specified on your contract. VelocityEHS may enforce the contract terms if you utilize more than your allotment of Uploads. Reach out to your Account Manager to purchase more Uploads.
Q: How do I cancel an upload? I realized I don’t need it, am I still charged for the upload? (why did I not receive the upload credit even after deleting it from the queue before adding to the eBinder?)
Once an Upload is submitted, an Upload Credit is consumed, and there’s no way to cancel it within the Chemical Management interface. All Uploads are reviewed by VelocityEHS and are processed within five business days, with an average turnaround time of 1.5 days. Once processing is complete, you may delete the Upload from your queue if it’s no longer needed.
Q: Can I switch an upload to public, and if so can I receive an upload credit?
Uploads are marked private at a customer’s or manufacturer’s discretion to protect proprietary or confidential information and by VelocityEHS to maintain the quality of its SDS Library. Once an Upload has been marked private, it cannot be switched to public. Whether public or private, all SDSs are eligible for auto updates.
Q: Can I batch upload without using any upload credits?
No, all Uploads, whether added one-at-a-time or in a batch of multiple documents, will deduct Upload Credits equal to the number of files uploaded.
Q: When do uploads reset without needing to purchase more, when I renew my subscription?
Uploads are reset when your renewal contract is processed.
Q: How can I upload the exempt letter for the products which do not require SDS?
Exempt Letters can be added to your eBinder via SDS Search, Upload, or a project. Exempt Letters are subject to the same criteria as all SDSs in the VelocityEHS SDS Library and must be clearly identifiable as an Exempt Letter with a Product Name listed.
Because there is no standard format for Exempt Letters, they can sometimes be challenging to interpret and thus may be rejected. If an Exempt Letter is marked incomplete, contact Customer Support to determine if the document can be added to your eBinder.
Q: Can I upload the same exempt letter for three different products?
You may upload the same Exempt Letter for multiple products; however, uploading the same file multiple times will result in the documents being considered duplicates (and only appearing once in your eBinder) or being considered versions of the same product (and appearing as multiple versions in your eBinder). There may be better ways to accomplish your end goals, such as adding different Product Names to the Synonym field rather than adding the same file multiple times; contact Customer Support for assistance.
