There are several different types of emails you may receive from VelocityEHS or your SDS/Chemical Management account. These mainly fall into three groups:
- Marketing Emails – These include the VelocityEHS newsletters, educational content, and promotional offers. To unsubscribe from these, please use the link at the bottom of the email.
- Survey and Feedback Requests – We send these periodically to gauge how we’re doing! You may receive one after contacting Support or as part of our annual satisfaction survey program. Your feedback is the driving force behind our award-winning applications and industry-leading customer renewal rates. Keep talking, we’re listening!
- System-Generated Emails – These are the emails generated directly from your SDS/Chemical Management account and include the email types listed here. You cannot unsubscribe from system-generated emails. However, your Account Administrator can disable emails for specific roles in the account. Additionally, you can set up a rule in your email client that routes emails from [email protected] to a specific folder.
Disabling System-Generated Emails
Email and notification settings are managed at the Role level, not at the user level. If a specific user should not or does not want to receive an email or notification type you may need to create a new role for them in your system.
- Select Manage Roles from the Settings menu.
- We recommend you add a new role unless all users with that role type do not want to receive system notification emails.
To add a new role:
- Locate the role type of the user who does not want to receive system notification emails.
- Click Create New.
- Enter a role name and description, then click Continue.
- In the Email and Notifications section, uncheck the boxes for the notifications and select the appropriate intervals for other emails (Queue Snapshot, etc).
- Click Save Changes.

Next, you need to assign this role to the user(s) that do not want to receive the notifications.
- Select Manage Users from the Settings menu.
- Click on the row for the user that should have this new role.
- Select Edit at the bottom of the summary panel.
- Select the appropriate role from the Role drop-down.
- Click Save.
This user will no longer receive a system-generated email notification. See Managing Users for more information.
