Importing Data

Importing data allows you to:

• Quickly update the application with data
• Use data from other sources for trending and analysis

Any administrator can import data as needed.

To import a data file:

1. Go to the Admin menu and select Import <data type> under the area into which you want to import data. (For metrics data imports, go to the Add New menu instead.)
   
   
2. Click New Import.
   
   
3. Select a file template. Click Preview if you want to see a copy of the template. Click under File Selection and choose the file you want to import. Click Upload File.
   
   

Your data is being checked and imported if possible. If there are any errors, you’ll be given a chance to review and correct them. You will receive a notification when the import has finished or requires your review.
