FAQ
Why aren’t Lost Days automatically calculated in an Incident record?

Thanks for your feedback!
The Lost Days field in an Incident record is not automatically populated because the system cannot determine whether every calculated calendar day should be recorded as an OSHA lost day.
While the system can calculate the number of calendar days between the incident and the employee’s return to work, it cannot determine whether every calculated day should be recorded as an OSHA lost day. Certain situations require administrator review to ensure the value complies with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
For example, if an employee begins a shift at 11:30 PM and continues working past midnight, the system could calculate two calendar days, while OSHA recordkeeping may require only one lost day to be recorded.
Because of these scenarios, the Lost Days field is intentionally left for an administrator to review and enter the appropriate value before submitting the incident.
