Managing Email Notifications

Managing email notifications allows you to:

• • Ensure the right people are made aware of information important to them
  • Escalate information to the right people if necessary
  • Inform people about their responsibilities in a timely manner

Email notifications should be managed regularly to ensure feedback from recipients is incorporated, as well as business process considerations being made.

To manage email notifications

1. 1. Select Notifications from the appropriate subheading in the Admin menu.
      
      
   2. Click Add New to create a new email notification or the edit button to change an existing one. 
      
      
   3. Identify who should receive the email notification by user role and/or by name.
   4. Define parameters for specific scenarios when the email notification should apply.
   5. Select the trigger to indicate what should happen in order for the email notification to be sent out.
   6. Click Save to complete the creation of or changes to the email notification.
      
      

Not receiving notifications for recordable incidents?

Check your Reportability/Recordability settings:

• • Select Reportable/Recordable to send a notification only when this option was selected in the submitted incident record.
  • Select Non-Reportable/Recordable to send a notification only when this option was selected in the submitted incident record.
  • If you select neither option, a notification will be sent regardless of the option selected in the submitted incident record.
  • If you select both options, no notification will be sent because an incident cannot be both recordable and non-recordable.
