Running your reports

Running reports allows you to:

• Slice and dice data in a way that makes most sense for visualizing business results
• Benchmark and trend against company and industry standards
• Monitor your performance

To run reports:

1. Select the report you wish you run and use parameter selections to design it.

Report parameters are organized into four sections:

• Use Data Filters to select the subset of data to include in your report. Within a specific filter, making no selections is equivalent to selecting all. It is highly recommended that, at a minimum, you define date parameters to narrow your data set.
• Use Data Conditions to control factors in numerical counts and calculations. The selections in these parameters can directly impact the reported results.
• Use Content Design to indicate specifically what data should display and how. For example, in a tabular report, this might mean what data is represented in columns or which location levels display in your results. In a graph, this might be what the bars represent and the time scale.
• Use General Design options to tailor the overall presentation of the report, including the title and whether filter criteria display.

2. Select the location for which you would like to run the report using either the location tree or the tags applicable to those locations. You can select multiple locations and tags; the report will display all relevant data from your selections.
