Conducting an Inspection

Conducting an inspection allows you to:

• Ensure regulatory, policy, and standards compliance
• Gain comparable results across the organization with consistent protocols and processes
• Identify trends that reveal areas for improvement and best practices

Environmental, health, and safety professionals and managers often lead inspections; however, anyone can be involved.

To conduct an inspection:

1. Select Inspection from the Add New menu to conduct an Inspection.
   
   
2. Include all relevant information, select the appropriate checklist, and select Begin Inspection.
   
   
3. Answer all questions making sure to add findings and actions as necessary.
   
    

Now that you’ve conducted an inspection, the person responsible for completing the next stage of work will be made aware of their task, and your job is done! Corrective actions will be assigned and completed as necessary based on the results of the Inspection.
