Conducting an Audit

Conducting an audit allows you to:

• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
• Identify non-conformance areas requiring attention
• Gain insight into how different groups in the organization compare to standards

Environmental, health, and safety professionals or external agencies often lead audits; however, anyone can be involved.

To conduct an audit:

1. Select Audit from the Add New menu.
   
   
2. Include all relevant information, select the appropriate checklist, and select Schedule Audit.
   
   
3. Answer all questions making sure to add findings and recommendations as necessary.
   
    

Now that you’ve conducted an audit, the person responsible for completing the next stage of work will be made aware of their task, and your job is done! Corrective actions will be assigned and completed as necessary based on the audit results.
