Reporting a Hazard

Reporting a hazard allows you to:

• Be more diligent in the identification of hazards in the workplace
• Address those hazards
• Ensure an incident does not occur or is less likely to occur as a result of your efforts

Everyone is encouraged to report a hazard immediately after it is noticed.

To report a hazard:

1. Select Hazard Identification from the Add New menu.
   
   
2. Include all relevant information about the hazard to ensure it is accurate.
   
   
3. Select the Submit First Report button to complete the Hazard ID report.
   
   

Now that you’ve reported the hazard, the person responsible for completing the next stage of work will be made aware of their task, and your job as the reporter is done!
