Creating an External Regulation

Creating an external regulation allows you to:

• Track the regulations that affect the organization and its operations
• Schedule and monitor tasks and activities required by the regulation
• Provide reference material to those who want to learn more about the regulation

Environmental, health, and safety professionals most often create and manage external regulations.

To creating an external regulation:

1. Select External Regulation from the Add New menu.
   
   
2. Include all relevant information including the appropriate types and references, and then select Save.
   
   
3. Add permits, actions, or attachments as necessary.
   
   

Now that you’ve created an external regulation, your job is done! Corrective actions will be assigned and completed as necessary, and notifications will go out to remind you when the associated action or permit expiration is coming due.
