Attaching a document or link

Attaching a document or link allows you to:

• Provide additional documentation to support information outlined in a specific report
• Provide easy access to information pertaining to a report on the internet or within our organization’s internal site
• Ensure all relevant pieces of additional information are tied to the data source

Everyone with appropriate access who has been assigned responsibility for a task is encouraged to attach documents and links whenever they can to provide additional insight.

To attach a document or link:

1. Select Attachments from the menu within a record.
   
   
2. Select Choose a file… to browse for your file. A preview or icon of the file type displays.
   
   
3. Add a description and the web address (URL) to attach links. Use the – button to remove entries or the + button to add entries.
   
   

NOTE:

• The VelocityEHS approved file type list is: doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, jpg, jpeg, pdf, png, gif, heic.
• Maximum file size is 25MB.

Now that you’ve attached documents and links, the person responsible for completing the next stage of work will have all the information they need and your job is done!
