Adding Users to Groups in Bulk

If you access your VelocityEHS solutions via the Accelerate Platform, you can use the Group Import option to assign multiple existing users to multiple Training & Learning groups at the same time.

1. 1. Go to Administration > Group Import and select Import Templates at the top of the page.
      
      
      
   2. Select the file format you wish to use (CSV or TSV).
      
      
      
   3. Complete the Microsoft Excel Import Template; for each Username, add the names of groups to which you want to assign the user, under the correct group type column. Note that if you enter the name of a group that does not yet exist, the Group Import will create that group.
      • Job Title Groups
      • Location Groups
      • Work Function Groups
      • Other Groups
   4. When you’ve completed and saved the template, select New Import on the Group Import page.
      
      
   5. Click Select Import File to select the completed template file from your computer, and then select New Import.
      
      
      
   6. To review the import data before finalizing the import, select Data Preview. When you’re ready to import the user/group data, choose Approve. Depending on the amount of data to be imported, it may process quickly, or it may take a few minutes.
      
      
      
   7. You can monitor the status of the import process from the Group Import page. When it is complete, you can select the import file on this page to view the details.
