What is the Permit to Work Capability?
The Permit to Work capability is part of the Control of Work solution. It focuses on ensuring that work permits are executed safely and in accordance with regulations. It also prevents unauthorized contractors from working onsite. This capability includes various tools for managing permits:
- Streamlined workflows and approvals. Manual tasks are automated, making the process more efficient. Approvals are handled seamlessly through the system.
- Flexible permit creation. Users can create custom permits or use templates. Additionally, permits can include a secondary approver, and they can be printed or canceled as needed.
- Comprehensive documentation. Notes, comments, photographs, workforce details, and compliance documentation can be attached to permits for thorough record-keeping.
- Automatic identification and highlighting. The system automatically identifies and highlights key elements within permits based on selected controls. This includes the assigned workforce, required personal protective equipment (PPE), safety mandates, and necessary documentation and qualifications.
- Advanced filtering. Permits can be filtered based on various criteria, including:
- Permit description
- Date range
- Permit type and risk tags
- Issuer and approver
- Location
- Status
These features collectively enhance the efficiency, safety, and compliance of the permit management process.
