Hello and welcome! Our Industrial Ergonomics Release Notes include important information about our latest software releases and what you can expect in the future.
July 2025
While there was no official release this month, we’ve continued to make improvements to boost overall site performance, minimize unnecessary data processing, and streamline deployments across environments for a smoother, more reliable experience.
June 2025
v3.75.0
In addition to implementing bug fixes to further improve software stability, we’ve refreshed the Industrial Ergonomics experience to align with the Accelerate platform:
- New left-hand navigation
- Job Assessments page Improvements, including relocation of the filter bar, Location field, and favorites menu to the top of the page; increased font; and other adjustments for better contrast, readability, and accessibility
- Additional design updates for a modernized look across the application
3D Motion Capture v2.5 improvements
- Improved back angle sensitivity for standing postures. The previous model inflated back risk scores when subjects stood upright, especially with certain camera angles (e.g., top-down and close range). The model sensitivity has been tuned for better accuracy in back angle detection, eliminating false positives in backward-bending postures. This reduces red risk scores in frames where subjects are standing straight.
- Enhanced subject tracking in multi-person videos. Intermittent tracking of the wrong subject in videos with multiple people caused angle discrepancies and erratic scoring. The model now maintains focus on the primary subject, with fewer tracking errors, providing more consistent results in videos with background subjects or overlapping movement.
- Empty frame detection to prevent false scoring. The previous model mistakenly identified machinery as a subject, causing inflated risk scores when no human was present. Frames with no confident joint detection (less than 0.3) are now ignored during analysis.
3D Motion Capture v2.4 improvements
- Upgraded video quality requirements. Videos must now meet a minimum resolution of 720p (1280×720) for accurate motion capture analysis. If videos do not meet this requirement, an error will result during the video quality check of the video upload process.
- Enhanced risk assessment for seated jobs:
- Introduced seated-specific risk thresholds to improve scoring accuracy for back and leg postures
- The system now automatically applies the appropriate risk model based on job configuration selected during video upload
- Risk scores better reflect the unique biomechanics of seated work environments
- In the Add Motion Capture Video modal, users can now independently select the Seated Job and/or Remove Data for Legs (Not Visible) options to enable the system to better interpret context and send more accurate risk scoring signals to the machine learning model. (Include Data for Legs was removed, as it is now the default behavior when no other seated/legs options are selected.)
May 2025
v3.74.0
This update includes minor bug resolutions to further improve software stability.
April 2025
v3.73.0, v3.73.1
Our latest update includes minor bug resolutions to further improve software stability.
v3.72.0
Links to assessments now open in the same tab, as opposed to a separate, new tab. For example, selecting a job assessment from the Do > Job Assessments page, or from any of the Manage > Summary Reports, opens that assessment in the current tab.
March 2025
3D Motion Capture v2.3
The following 3D Motion Capture enhancements were made:
- Backward bending threshold added. A moderate risk threshold range (1-point, yellow line on image) has been added for backward bending of the back, covering the moderate risk movement range of -10 degrees to -14 degrees. The scoring for most jobs is unaffected by this enhancement.
- Improved visibility thresholds for hand, wrist, and elbow. These visibility thresholds have increased from 0.3 to 0.45. As a result, these key points will only display and be included in angle calculations when the model has higher confidence in their positions. This change improves the accuracy of visualizations and measurements by ensuring joints are only shown when their locations are more reliable.
- 3D plot aspect ratio adjustment. The aspect ratios in 3D plot grids have been adjusted to appear square rather than rectangular.
- Ultra High Definition (UHD) video processing. The motion capture process can now convert Ultra High Definition (UHD) videos to Full High Definition (FHD) before processing. This prevents issues where UHD videos previously caused abnormal leg distortions in the 3D skeleton image.
