Can I change the preset data fields (columns), column headers, or column sequence in the data import file?

When setting up your integration process, you’ll work with the VelocityEHS Integration team to configure a template for your data import files. This template reflects the data fields you plan to include in the import file each day.

• • If you add a new data field/column to your import file and data field mapping is not yet configured by the VelocityEHS Integration team, the import process will ignore the extra field until it is configured.
  • If you remove a data field/column, the import process will report an error in the Result file only if the removed data field was a required field, as determined upon initial setup.
  • If you change a column heading, the import process will not recognize the change until it is configured with the VelocityEHS Integration team.
  • Changing the column sequence in your import file does not affect the data import process.
