Risk Assessment Worksheet Statuses

If your organization has enabled the risk assessment approval process (in Admin > Configuration Editor > Register Policies > Risk Assessment > Enable Approval Workflow for Study), risk assessment worksheets will have one of the following statuses during the review and approval workflow. Statuses can be changed from the toolbar in the worksheet.

Draft – Risk assessment has been started. Select Send to In-Progress to go to the next step and change the status to In-Progress.

In-Progress – Risk assessment is in the process of being updated/edited. In this status, there are two options:

• • Lock (change status to Locked), to prevent changes (until unlocked)
  • Submit for Approval (change status to Under Review)

Under Review – Risk assessment has been submitted for approval. In this status, there are two options:

• • Approve (change status to Complete)
  • Reject (change status to Draft)

Complete – Risk assessment has been approved. There are three options in this status:

• • Archive (change status to Archived)
  • Re-Open (change status back to In-Progress)
  • Initiate Control Verification (change status to Under Verification)

Under Verification – Approved risk assessment has outstanding verification activities scheduled. There are two options in this status:

• • Archive (change status to Archived)
  • Re-Open (change status back to In-Progress)

Locked – Risk assessment is still in process, protected from changes by anyone other than the individual who locked it. From a Locked status, the assessment can be unlocked to revert to In-Progress.

Archived – Risk assessment has been archived and is no longer an active record in the system. An Archived assessment can be re-opened, which reverts the status to Draft.
