Thanks for your feedback!
Single Sign-On allows for greater security and compliance for managing user access and authorization, as well as improved usability and management through one set of credentials for employees.
Before setting up SSO, your organization’s Accelerate account must be created. Your internal technical point of contact who will be configuring SSO should also be identified. Typically this is someone in your IT department.
The SAML assertion that will be sent from your organization’s Identity Provider (IdP) must include the following:
VelocityEHS will send our Service Provider (SP) metadata to your technical contact to configure. This file will include information such as EntityID, ACS, and X509 Certificate.
Your technical contact will provide the IdP metadata for us to configure within your Accelerate account. VelocityEHS will configure the IdP metadata and then SSO will be live. VelocityEHS will reach out with confirmation, once this is complete.
For existing VelocityEHS customers, in preparation for Accelerate activation, your account’s SSO setup will need to be updated with a new metadata file. Relevant information will be provided by our VelocityEHS team.
Once SSO is updated with the new metadata file by your IT team, users will see no change, as they will continue to log into the system through your SSO provider.
