Create a New Standalone Action Item

1. From the Navigation menu, select Platform > Actions > Create New > Standalone Action.
2. On the Action Item tab, complete the required fields:
   • Action title: Provide a concise and descriptive title for the action item.
   • Location: Select a location to assign the action to a specific site or area.
   • Due date: Set a deadline for completing the action.
   • Person responsible: Assign a user responsible for completing the action item.
     
3. Add optional information if needed:
   • Description: Add more context or details about the action item.
   • Priority: Indicate the urgency level.
   • Offline source: Reference any associated external task or item.
   • Person delegated: Specify another user tasked with completing the action (if applicable).
4. If attachments are needed, navigate to the Attachments tab to upload files or add weblinks. To include multiple files or links, select the plus sign next to the respective field.
5. To leave comments or notes that do not fit in other sections, use the Audit Trail tab. The audit trail automatically logs all updates, including actions taken, who performed them, and when they occurred.
6. At the top of the page, choose one of the following:
   • Cancel: Abandon the creation of the action item.
   • Options (Save Draft): Save the action item with the current details as a draft without assigning it.
   • Submit: Finalize and assign the action item, changing its status to Assigned.

Use the Options dropdown menu to manage open action items:

• • Save: Retain recent changes without exiting the action item.
  • Save and Exit: Save changes and return to the action item list.
  • Print: Generate a printable version of the action details.
  • Export: Download the action item as a file for external use.
  • Delete: Remove the action item if it is no longer required (available only for actions in specific statuses) and move it to the Recycling Bin.
